I love it when a member wants to try a new event at NotTooHot. A couple of weeks ago Emelia Preston (Eme) approached me with an idea for a new game. I liked it and we will start it Saturday, April 26. Here is what Eme will do ...

"What's in you closet?"

                

                 

Come along for fun when we play "What's in you Closet?"

 

A theme will be announced and the timers set, to find something creative in your closet to represent the theme.

There will be a voting system and all the best will go through to the next round, eliminating one or two people each time until the three best at creating suitable outfits win.

Dance to great themed tunes provided by D.J Panther and let out your wild side.

Saturday April 26th at 1pm SLT.

Eme will be running the event and has already arranged three judges for the first time. Since I have a huge closet, I am planning to be there and I hope you will be too.

REGULAR EVENTS: BLUES TUNES SCAVENGER HUNT

Yesterday, I posted about 'Candy Kane's Dating Game' on Thursdays at 8pm. Today, Cheryl Nitely, who already DJs on Thursdays at 6 pm talked to me about starting an old game she led called 'Scavenger Hunt.' Since I had played it before and liked it, I agreed. She will do the game during her normal DJ times on Thursdays.

Here is how it works:

Blues Scavenger Hunt rules

Object - to get as many points as you can by producing items from your inventory.

You get points by:

During each song, the DJ will annouce an object.  You get one point for every object you can rez.   You get an additional point for being the first person to rez that object.  The DJ is the ref and she is always right.  

Rules:  
1.  You can't make the object.  That's primtionary.  lol 
2.  Pictures of items don't count. 
3. Buying it on SLex is OK, but why would you want to make your inventory any bigger for one point?

The honor of being Not Too Hot's biggest pack rat of the week.

Since both Candy's game and Cher's game are on Thursday, I am going to start calling Thursdays GAME DAY.

All we need now is Primtionary and Where's Nottoo?

REGULAR EVENTS: Candy Kane's Dating Game

Candy asked me if she could try a new event at NotTooHot. It's a game for SL people who are single and is called 'Candy Kane's Dating Game.' It's patterned after a USA television show called the 'Dating Game.'

Here is how it will work.

Each week male and female Club members who are single, let Candy know that they would like to play. Candy selects three of one gender, for example male, and one of the other gender, for example, female. At the scheduled event time, for example, Thursday at 8 pm, everyone in the Club (singles and not single) are invited to see the event. At this point Candy identifies the female, for example, Mary. Candy does not identify the males, so only Candy knows who they are. The males need to be present. Candy identifies the males as 1, 2 and 3.

Mary then gets to ask a question. For example, Mary might say, "Number 2, What is your favorite part of SL?" Since Male 2 is in the room, he sends an IM to Candy with his answer. Candy then posts his reply in chat, for example, "2: To talk to beautiful women like you." Of course, at this point the audience all throws up. 

Mary gets to ask no more than five questions of each male. 

After all the questions and answers, Mary has to decide which of the three males she wants to go out on at least a one-hour date with in SL. Oh, that's part of the deal to play. If chosen you have to go on a one-hour date.

So, after hearing Candy's idea, I agreed to try it. I love it when someone wants to try an event. So, we will play the first time on Thursday at 8 pm this week. If you would like to play, let Candy know. I don't know whether it will be 1 female and 3 males or 1 male and 3 females. We will see.

If the idea works, I think it will be a lot of fun.

REGULAR EVENTS: Kittens and Tigers

I talked recently with Diddy Hyun, who is the leader of the SL dance group 'The Kittens and Tigers' and is a Club member. The Kittens and Tigers are a long-standing and popular dance group that has put on many shows in SL. Here is the oldest picture I have of them from November 2008 when they were an all female group and called the Spicy Kittens

They have transformed into one of the most prolific and fun dance groups of SL with female and male dancers ... always a treat to watch.

Our conversation turned to performing on the undersized stage in the NotTooHot Club and Diddy decided that she would enjoy performing weekly on the stage.

WOW!!!

A great idea and I was so happy to say please do.

So, starting this Sunday at 8 am come enjoy the Kittens and Tigers at the Club. The shows run about thirty minutes and feature dancing, music, costumes and sets.

The Kittens and Tigers are now on the Schedule Board as a regular 8 am Sunday event.
